JOB OVERVIEW

Acclaim is a cozy crew of about 15 folks who are all about crafting super optimized, conversion-focused websites using Webflow, WordPress, and AI tools. We're a bunch of passionate people getting it done!

WHO WE ARE:

Since the beginning 2014 we work in a no-office model. Each member of our team works 100% remotely from a convenient place in Poland. In terms of WordPress, we hate predefined themes, that’s why we create bespoke projects based on our framework which has been developed for more than 7 years.

The most common recipients of our services are Startups, Software Houses, Agencies and other customers from all over the world. Most of our customers are based in the US, UK, Canada, Australia. All of the projects are managed by a Project Manager and tested by a QA Tester. We settle the working time using Toggl, communicate through Slack, and organize tasks in ClickUp. In Acclaim, we are searching for a superhero, who can provide us with full-stack WordPress skills. We are looking for someone who feels comfortable with front-end development and back-end development. Do you think you could be the right fit?

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Strictly working on WordPress maintenance & support projects
- Being a chameleon who enjoys working on a few different projects in one day, not just one
- Creating semantic Front-End code, which means fully responsive websites in the mobile-first methodology
- Front-End Integration with WordPress using Gutenberg and ACF Blocks
- eCommerce development based on the WooCommerce plugin
- Implementation of external REST APIs
- Development of the dedicated WordPress plugins
- Website optimization to achieve great scores in PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, and Pingdom Test
- Support of existing WordPress projects which have been built by our team or some external team

WHAT WE EXPECT :

- Communicational & competent grasp of English Language - B2 (Netflix with no subtitles)
- Commercial experience in WordPress
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS with BEM), Themes structure, Gutenberg Blocks, ACF, Custom Post Types, WooCommerce, Hooks, REST API
- Commercial experience in JavaScript(ES6+)
- Knowledge of design patterns and OOP principles
- Experience in using the console version of GIT
- Attention to detail and quality of work are MUST HAVE
- Comfortable communicating with customers & being a consultant regarding all technical aspects
- Being able to work with ‘spaghetti’ code & can clean it up so it’s top-notch

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience in Webpack
- Experience in working remotely
- Fast coding skills and ability to work under time pressure
- Experience in one of the JS frameworks like React / Vue / Angular

HOW DOES OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS WORK?

Our recruitment process is very fast-paced. If you are quick in your participation, so are we. Once we review your CV, and we like what we see, you expect the following to happen:

Step 1: You will receive an email with a form to fill out from Kinga our Head of HR. After that form is filled out and sent back, we will reach out to invite you to a video chat.

Step 2: You will meet face to face via video chat with one of our IT specialists - we want to get to know you better ???? During this meeting you will also be asked to do Live Coding. After you finish your assignment, we will reach out to you either with feedback or a job offer.

Step 3: You will participate in a quick conversation to finalize the terms of our co-operation.
