THE ROLE
We run a fast-growing YouTube channel and we need someone who can find the best creative talent on the internet. Not average. Not available. The best.
Your job is to source, screen, and deliver top-tier candidates for three roles we hire repeatedly: video editors, motion graphics designers, and thumbnail designers with strong AI image generation skills.
Every person you bring us needs to understand one thing above everything else: what makes a YouTube video actually perform. Not what looks good in a portfolio. What drives views, watch time, and clicks.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and maintain a constantly updated pipeline of pre-vetted candidates for all three roles
- Source talent across OnlineJobs.ph, LinkedIn, Reddit,
- Screen applicants with custom tests and structured interviews you design yourself
- Evaluate video edit tests, motion reel submissions, and thumbnail samples with a real eye for quality
- Assess whether candidates understand YouTube metrics, not just aesthetics
- Manage the full hiring process from first contact to offer, with fast turnaround
- Keep detailed candidate notes and a running shortlist ready to go at any time
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You have hired for YouTube creative roles before, or you have worked in a YouTube production environment yourself
- You can tell the difference between a good editor and a great one by watching a 90-second reel
- You understand what a high-CTR thumbnail looks like and why it works
- You know what motion graphics are actually supposed to do on screen and when they earn their place
- You are familiar with AI image generation tools like Midjourney, Ideogram, or Flux and can assess how well a designer uses them
- You move fast, communicate clearly, and follow through without needing to be managed
- You are honest about candidate quality even when the pipeline is thin
This is not an entry-level HR role. We are not looking for someone who posts jobs and waits. We want a hunter who is opinionated about creative quality and has high standards.
NICE TO HAVE
- You have a personal YouTube channel or have worked closely with content creators
- You have existing networks in the YouTube editing or design freelance community
- You have used hiring tools like Notion, Airtable, or similar to manage candidate pipelines
- You have worked with remote, async teams before
DETAILS
- Full-time, remote
- Async-first, results-based
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Long-term role with direct access to the business owner
HOW TO APPLY
Send us a short voice or video message (2 to 3 minutes) telling us about a specific hire you made for a creative role and how you evaluated the candidate's work. If you have never hired for YouTube or content creation specifically, explain how you would approach evaluating a video editor's test submission.
Applications without this message will not be considered. We do not need a cover letter. We need to hear how you think.
