JOB OVERVIEW

Hours: Flexible / Part-time
Rate: Starting at $3 USD/hour (with raises for reliable, quality work)
Type: Long-term

ABOUT THE ROLE:

I run a travel content website and I'm looking for a reliable WordPress VA to help improve existing articles and boost RPMs (revenue per thousand views). You'll be working through a list of articles I assign and making them better — adding internal links, sourcing images, improving formatting, and applying simple SEO best practices.
This is a long-term role with a supportive, friendly employer. Full training and detailed checklists will be provided on exactly how I want things done.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Add relevant internal links between articles (3-5 per article)
Source and add additional high-quality images to articles
Add proper image captions, credits, and citations
Add image alt text for SEO and accessibility
Improve article formatting — break up long paragraphs, fix heading hierarchy
Optimise meta titles and meta descriptions
Compress and optimise images for page speed
Fix typos, formatting issues, and broken links
Apply SEO and layout best practices to maximise reader engagement and revenue

REQUIREMENTS:

Solid WordPress experience (Gutenberg block editor)
Comfortable sourcing images from Pexels, Unsplash, and Pixabay
Understanding of basic SEO (meta tags, alt text, heading structure)
Strong attention to detail — this role is all about catching small things
Excellent written English
Reliable internet and a quiet work setup
RELIABLE — this is non-negotiable. No excuses for missed or late work tolerated

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience with RankMath or Yoast SEO plugins
Familiarity with image compression tools (TinyPNG, ShortPixel)
Previous experience with travel or content sites
Basic understanding of how display ads (AdSense, Mediavine, Raptive) affect article layout

THE HIRING PROCESS

Quick test task — a short paid task on one article to confirm you can follow instructions
Paid probation period — to make sure quality stays consistent over a longer period
Long-term role — with rate increases as trust is built

OUR WORK STANDARDS:

3 strikes policy — three quality or reliability issues and we part ways
Work delivered on time, every time
Quality cannot slip once probation ends
Full training and detailed checklists provided

THE PERKS

Flexible scheduling — batch your work how it suits you, as long as quality and deadlines are met
Supportive, friendly employer with clear instructions and checklists
Long-term stability with rate increases over time
Clear, repeatable workflow once trained
