The role
We're looking for a full-time Local SEO Specialist who owns Google Business Profile performance end-to-end for our clients. You live in the local search landscape — map packs, GBP signals, local citations, ranking factors — and you have the results to prove it.
This is not a generalist SEO role. We need someone who has done the hands-on work of moving clients into the local 3-pack in competitive markets and keeping them there. You'll manage multiple client accounts, track and report on ranking progress, and work closely with our content and web teams to make sure every local signal is aligned.
A key part of this role is the ability to audit existing local SEO strategies — including diagnosing over-reliance on aggressive tactics — and build clean, sustainable ranking foundations that hold up long-term. If you've managed ranking transitions and know how to protect a listing while shifting strategies, that experience matters here.
What you'll own
— Manage, optimize, and monitor Google Business Profile listings for multiple HOA management clients across U.S. markets
— Build and execute local SEO strategies designed to move clients into and up within the local map pack
— Audit existing local SEO setups — assess signal quality, identify risk, and build transition plans where needed
— Audit and maintain local citation profiles — NAP consistency, duplicate listings, directory accuracy
— Develop and manage review generation systems; monitor and respond to reviews strategically
— Identify and resolve GBP issues, suspensions, policy violations, and ranking drops — fast
— Track ranking performance using local SEO toolsets; benchmark against competitors and flag opportunities
— Coordinate with content and web teams to align on-page local signals with GBP strategy
— Deliver clear, consistent ranking reports that translate data into action items — not just charts
— Stay current on Google's local algorithm updates, GBP policy changes, and industry developments

What we're looking for
Non-negotiables
— 3+ years of hands-on local SEO experience with a provable track record of map pack results
— Deep, current expertise in Google Business Profile optimization — categories, attributes, posts, Q&A, photos, products, and beyond
— Real examples of moving clients into the local 3-pack in competitive markets — you must be able to show your work
— Experience managing GBP for multiple clients or locations simultaneously
— Proficiency with local SEO tools: BrightLocal, Whitespark, Semrush Local, or equivalent
— Strong understanding of local ranking factors — proximity, relevance, prominence, and behavioral signals
— Ability to audit existing strategies, identify signal risk, and manage clean ranking transitions
— Ability to diagnose ranking problems systematically and build clear remediation plans
— Fluent, professional English — written and verbal
— Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable across multiple client accounts
Strong pluses
— Experience in HOA management, property management, or real estate

— Experience troubleshooting GBP suspensions and reinstatement
— Knowledge of review platform integrations and automated review generation workflows
