JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented WordPress Post Creator to help publish articles on our automotive website, ---------- .

This role involves working with legacy publishing files (QuarkXPress layouts) and converting them into clean, visually structured WordPress posts using Elementor. You will follow a structured workflow and template system to ensure consistency across all articles.

Responsibilities

Locate article files (QuarkXPress layouts, images, PDFs) from our server
Extract and organize content from QuarkXPress-based files
Create and format WordPress posts using Elementor
Apply our pre-built templates correctly
Upload and organize images into galleries
Insert content in the correct structure (matching provided PDF layout)
Replace or remove references to original magazines or publications
Ensure correct image-to-content matching (very important)
Set featured images, excerpts, categories, and authors
Identify and handle missing or incomplete assets
Avoid duplicate posts by checking existing content
Save drafts or publish posts as instructed
What You’ll Be Working With

WordPress (Gutenberg + Elementor)
QuarkXPress legacy files (primary content source)
PDF layout references
Image folders stored on our server
Older Macintosh-based file structures
Structured templates for consistency
Requirements (Required – Must Have)

Experience with WordPress
Strong experience with Elementor (required)
Familiarity with QuarkXPress or working with Quark-based files
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow step-by-step instructions precisely
Experience handling images and structured layouts
Optional Skills (Highly Preferred but Not Required)

Experience with Adobe InDesign (especially converting from QuarkXPress)
Familiarity with legacy Macintosh file systems (missing file extensions, older workflows)
Experience working with EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) files
Background in automotive aftermarket or classic cars
Ability to improvise when assets are incomplete (e.g., selecting or creating lead images)
Basic image editing or asset preparation skills
Experience organizing large batches of media across folders
Strong file management and naming discipline

The work requires:

Careful placement of images between text sections
Matching layout from reference PDFs
Using templates properly
Removing outdated publication references
Ensuring correct image-to-content matching

Avoiding common errors like missing images or duplicate posts
