Staff Accountant – Full-Time

We're a fast-growing, fully remote boutique accounting and advisory firm and we're looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed accountant who actually loves the work — reconciliations, clean books, accurate financials, and getting it right the first time.

About the Role
This is a hands-on accounting role. You'll be working directly inside client books, owning reconciliations, maintaining accuracy, and communicating directly with clients.

If you're the type who goes transaction by transaction until the numbers make sense, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Be Doing
- Monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations across multiple client accounts in QBO
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies — duplicates, misclassifications, bank feed errors
- Preparing clean, accurate financials ready for reporting or tax prep
- Communicating with clients via email, text and phone
- Managing your own workload across multiple clients in a fast-paced environment

What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of accounting experience — public accounting background is a strong plus
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- QuickBooks Online proficiency is required — you need to know it cold
- Google Workspace and Slack experience is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be client-facing
- Self-starter who thrives without hand-holding
- Must be available to work full-time during California business hours (PT)
