Hi! I'm the founder of Dropcurb, a curbside junk removal brokerage based in the US. We connect homeowners with independent haulers who pick up junk from their curb. We're growing fast and I'm looking for someone special to join as our first operations hire — with a clear path to becoming an Operations Lead managing other VAs as we scale.
This is not a "sit and wait for tickets" VA role. I want someone hungry, sharp, and hardworking who wants to grow their career and their wage with the company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Dispatch incoming work orders to our network of haulers — most days this is a one-click process
- When we don't have a hauler for a job, recruit one: post on Craigslist, message local haulers, onboard them into our system
- Respond to customer calls, texts, and
- Respond to hauler messages, keep them happy, pay them quickly
- Follow up with customers for reviews after successful pickups
- Flag issues to me (no-shows, complaints, payment problems)
- Deliver a great experience to every customer and every hauler, every time
- Look for ways we can improve our process (automated text changes, website copy)
THE GROWTH PATH:
I want to hire the person who takes this role ONCE. Within 6–12 months, as we scale, you'll stop doing day-to-day dispatch yourself and start managing a team of VAs under you — setting SOPs, training new hires, and owning operations across multiple markets and service verticals. Your wage grows with your responsibility.

THE REALITY OF THE WORK (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):
This is an on-call role, not a traditional 8-hour shift. Here's what the day actually looks like:
- You're on-call from 9 PM – 9 AM Philippines Time (9 AM – 9 PM US Eastern), 7 days per week
- Actual focused work is typically 3–5 hours per day, spread across that window
- Morning burst (~1-2 hrs): review the day's orders, dispatch haulers, post Craigslist ads for any uncovered jobs
- Middle of the shift: passive monitoring — check messages every 30-60 min, respond to customers and haulers as needed
- Late shift (~1-2 hrs): dispatch West Coast (Pacific time) orders, confirm completions, process payouts
This structure is ideal for someone who wants reliable full-time income without being chained to a screen for 8 hours straight. But it does require you to be REACHABLE during the window — you can cook, exercise, run errands, rest — but you need to check messages regularly and respond within ~10 minutes.
IDEAL PERSON:
- Excellent written English — you'll be texting and
- Clear spoken English — comfortable on the phone with American customers
- Hungry, ambitious, wants to grow into a leadership role
- Hardworking, reliable, detail-oriented
- Good judgment on pricing and customer situations (we'll train you, but you need the instincts)
- Reliable internet + quiet space for calls
- Experience in dispatching, customer support, ops, or recruiting is a big plus
WHAT I OFFER:
- $800–$900/month starting, with real wage growth as you take on more responsibility
- 13th month bonus (paid in December, pro-rated for first year)
