The Opportunity
This is a newly created role to support our growing client base. You’ll work directly with the Managing Partner and get exposure well beyond a traditional accounting firm role.

This role is ideal for a newly qualified CA or CPA coming out of an Australian business services or tax environment who wants something more flexible, commercial, and interesting.

It’s particularly well suited to someone returning to the workforce (e.g. a parent) who still wants to do high-quality work — without the rigid structure of a traditional firm.

You’ll get exposure to startups, founders, and real commercial decision-making — not just compliance work.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll support both client delivery and internal operations across the firm, including:

Client Accounting & Compliance
- Month-end support and financial reporting for clients
- Bank, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations (Xero)
- Preparation of BAS, IAS, and income tax returns
- Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns

Advisory & Operations Support
- Assist with entity setup and structuring
- Prepare ASIC forms and support ongoing compliance
- Support CFO/advisory engagements (cash flow, reporting, insights)

Growth & Learning
- Assist with R&D Tax Incentive claims and documentation
- Work with startups and scale-ups across different industries
- Exposure to grants, funding, and investor readiness

What We’re Looking For
- CA or CPA qualified (or very close to completion)
- 3–6 years’ experience in Australian business services / tax
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (non-negotiable)
- Experience preparing BAS, tax returns, and reconciliations
- Comfortable working directly with clients
