ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Virtual Assistant who will take full ownership of all insurance-related tasks for our ABA center. This is a critical role that directly supports our clinical team and families, and we need someone who is reliable, organized, and already familiar with the world of ABA therapy billing and insurance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Verify patient benefits and eligibility for all new and existing clients
? Submit and manage prior authorizations and re-authorizations for ABA therapy services
? Conduct monthly audits to confirm that all active clients' insurance policies remain valid and in good standing
? Track authorization expiration dates and proactively initiate renewals before services are interrupted
? Collaborate closely with our billing department to address and resolve insurance claim denials and appeals
? Maintain accurate and organized records of all insurance activity, authorizations, and communications
? Communicate with insurance companies on behalf of our center to resolve issues efficiently
? Keep our team updated on the status of pending authorizations and any insurance changes affecting client care

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
? Prior experience working with a US-based ABA therapy company in an insurance or billing support role is strongly preferred
? Solid understanding of US health insurance, including benefit verification, prior authorization processes, and claim denials
? Experience working with insurers such as Horizon BCBS, Aetna, or similar major carriers is a big plus
? Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
? Strong written and verbal English communication skills
? Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines without constant supervision
