JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing coffee shop and restaurant brand based in the United States looking for a full-time video editor.

This is a performance-based role. I am looking for someone who can produce high-quality short-form content quickly and consistently.

Responsibilities
Edit TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Cut clips cleanly and remove dead time
Add captions, hooks, zooms, sound effects, and basic effects
Follow direction and replicate proven video styles
Take initiative to improve content based on examples provided
Deliver videos quickly (same day or next day when needed)
Requirements
Experience editing short-form content (TikTok/Reels/Shorts)
Strong understanding of what makes videos engaging
Fast turnaround time
Good communication and responsiveness
Ability to follow instructions and improve with feedback
Reliable internet and ability to work consistently
How This Role Works

I will provide:

Raw footage
Examples of videos that are performing well

Your job is to:

Replicate the style
Improve where possible
Produce content that performs, not just looks good

If your work is strong, you will receive:

Consistent, long-term work
Increased pay over time

If the work is average or just “okay,” this will be a short-term relationship.

Fixed weekly rate (based on experience and performance)

Test Task (Required)

All applicants must complete a test task before being considered.

You will receive:

Raw video footage
2–3 example clips

Task:

Create 1–2 short-form videos (15–30 seconds each)
Match the style of the examples
Improve where possible

What I am evaluating:

Hook in the first 1–2 seconds
Editing pace and flow
Captions and engagement
Ability to follow direction
Overall quality and potential performance

Guidelines:

Do not overcomplicate it
Focus on engagement, not just visuals
Follow examples closely, then improve

Deadline:

24–48 hours
