Job Description
We are seeking passionate and experienced Near-Native English-speaking Online K-12 Math and/or Science Teachers with verifiable teaching certifications. The ideal candidates will have strong academic backgrounds in Mathematics and/or Science, experience teaching young learners (ages 5–18), and a commitment to creating a supportive, inquiry-based, and engaging online learning environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver interactive and engaging Math and/or Science lessons to individuals and small groups of 2–6 students aged 5–18.
Teach using internationally recognized curricula such as A Closer Look, Glencoe Science, Pearson Interactive Science, NGSS-aligned resources, Singapore Math, or IB/AP/A Level Math programs.
Create age-appropriate lesson plans focused on conceptual understanding, inquiry, problem-solving, and real-world applications.
Incorporate visuals, multimedia, and hands-on virtual activities to make abstract concepts accessible and engaging.
Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
Foster curiosity, discussion, and active learning in a safe and supportive space.
Qualifications
Professional teacher with at least 2 years of teaching experience (Kindergarten–Grade 12).
Must hold a valid teaching license/certification (e.g., Teaching License, State Certification). TESOL/TEFL is a plus.
Near-native English accent with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Strong academic background in Mathematics and/or Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, General Science).
Experience teaching in public/international schools or reputable online platforms.
Familiarity with inquiry-based and/or interdisciplinary approaches (e.g., STEM/STEAM).
Comfortable working between 07:00–22:00 (Weekdays) and 9:00–22:00 (Weekends), GMT+8.
Proficiency with digital platforms such as ClassIn, Microsoft Office, and other educational technologies.
Must have a stable and fast internet connection and a PC/laptop with at least Windows 10 or Mac OS Catalina.
