JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Renovation Materials & Cost Consultant to support an upcoming renovation project. The consultant will be responsible for finalizing material specifications and ensuring accurate, competitive pricing to help maintain budget control and prevent contractor overcharges.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans and identify required materials and specifications
Recommend cost-effective material options without compromising quality
Validate contractor quotes and pricing for accuracy and fairness
Develop a detailed materials cost breakdown and budget estimates
Advise on sourcing strategies and supplier options
Provide guidance throughout the procurement phase as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience in construction, renovation, or materials consulting
Strong knowledge of building materials, pricing, and market rates
Ability to analyze and compare contractor bids
Excellent attention to detail and cost-control mindset
Strong communication and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in quantity surveying, construction management, or similar field
Experience working with contractors and suppliers
Familiarity with local market pricing and sourcing

Project Goal:
To ensure accurate material specifications, optimize costs, and safeguard against overpricing during the renovation process.
