Key Responsibilities:
· Program parts in GibbsCAM and produce machine-ready toolpaths/programs.
· Program for multi-axis lathes and 5-axis machines (as required).
· Interpret drawings, tolerances, and models to produce practical, manufacturable programs.
· Apply strong machining strategies to improve cycle time, reduce scrap, and protect tooling.
· Provide clear setup/program notes where required (tools, workholding assumptions, revisions).
· Collaborate with the workshop team to refine programs and resolve production issues.
· Maintain consistent file/revision control and documentation standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Strong, proven CAM programming experience in a production environment.
· GibbsCAM proficiency (required).
· Experience with multi-axis and 5-axis programming.
· Solid understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds/speeds, and shop outcomes.
· Ability to work from CAD models/drawings (SolidWorks exposure is a plus).
· Strong communication and reliability in a remote setup.
· Production-minded CAM programmer focused on throughput + quality.
· Independent, consistent output, and proactive communication.
· Detail-oriented and comfortable working to agreed standards and deadlines.
