About the Role
We are seeking a Full Stack AWS Engineer with strong experience in cloud-native and serverless architecture. You will maintain and enhance existing AI/serverless projects while collaborating with teams and vendors to design scalable, cost-efficient, and high-performing cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot AWS-based serverless and AI-driven applications.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using AWS Lambda (Node.js/Python).
- Integrate AWS services such as API Gateway, Aurora Serverless (RDS), DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, and Secrets Manager.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using AWS CloudFormation and AWS SAM.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize performance with CloudWatch and CloudWatch Logs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to expand and refine existing solutions.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred; Jenkins or CircleCI acceptable).
- Develop and deploy front-end applications using Next.js (App Router, API Routes, SSR/SSG) and React with TypeScript.
- Ensure seamless integration between front-end and backend APIs, debugging and improving data flow when necessary.

Core Technical Requirements
Primary Stack: AWS (EC2, LightSail, API Gateway, Lambda, RDS – Aurora Serverless, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, CloudFormation, SAM)
Languages: Node.js and/or Python
AI & Advanced AWS Services: Amazon Bedrock, CloudWatch, CloudWatch Logs, SQS, Secrets Manager, RDS

Preferred Full-Stack Skills
- Next.js (App Router, API Routes, SSR/SSG)
- React / TypeScript
- Integration with AWS services (Cognito, S3, API Gateway, Lambda)
- UI implementation and API debugging

CI/CD Tools
- Preferred: GitHub Actions
- Alternatives: Jenkins or CircleCI

Nice-to-Have Skills
- AWS Amplify
- Amazon EventBridge
- AWS STS & SSO / OIDC
- Amazon Kinesis / Firehose
- Amazon Cognito / Connect / SES / SSM / SageMaker Runtime
- AWS EventStream or middleware frameworks
- AWS region and endpoint management
- Exposure to Azure or GCP

Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS serverless architectures.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, cost optimization, and scalability best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
- Proven track record in full-stack application design and deployment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation & Perks
- Monthly Rate: $1,600 – $2,400 USD (paid via Wise).
- Performance Bonus: Discretionary Year-End Performance Bonus (often equivalent to 1 month’s pay) based on project milestones.
- Direct US Client: No agency middleman taking 50% of your fees.
- Mentorship: Work directly with our Lead Architect – you will learn more in 6 months here than in 2 years at a local agency.
- Engagement Type: Independent contractor engagement. You are responsible for your own tax filings and social contributions.
