Hiring ONE rockstar video editor who can create intros + short form videos that actually make people watch — think DOAC and 20VC, not a generic podcast clip.
If first videos do well (we pay per video to start), this grows into a long-term collaboration with monthly work, 40-50 short-form vid/m, more creative freedom. We are going big, so this will never be a boring role + you will have a team to manage.
Important: we're looking for someone with experience editing podcasts in business, investing, AI, or startups. RELEVANT portfolio is a must.
___
What's in it for you:
1. 15–20 hours per week, consistent work
2. Long-term contract
3. Base pay up to $1,000/month + performance bonuses ON TOP
4. Paid test task (if it matches criteria)
___
This is NOT for you if:
You edit the same way for every client
You don't know what venture capital, AI, or startups are
You use stock footage as your default visual layer
You need to be told what the hook is — you should feel it
___
If you recognise yourself:
You have real experience editing podcast content in business, investing, AI, or startup space
You know how to pull the most compelling 45–60 seconds from a long episode
You understand hooks: big numbers, big names, tension, cut on the question not the answer
You work fast and hit deadlines without chasing
You'll receive the full episode recording. Your job is to find the gold and make it impossible to skip.
___
What I'm looking for:
1. Strong hook in the first seconds: big numbers, big names, hot topics
2. Custom visuals / AI graphics — no generic stock footage
3. Captions: white (main), #a1ebff light blue (accent), centre-frame
4. Filler words and stutters removed
5. Music that builds mood without overpowering speech
Montserrat Bold font throughout.
Turnaround: 48 hours per episode once assets are delivered.

To apply:
1. Start your message with "I AM YOUR PODCAST EDITOR" — applications without this will not be reviewed.
2. Send 2–3 examples of intros or short-form edits you've done. Pick the ones closest to business, AI, VC, or startups. Don't send a general portfolio — send your most relevant work only. You MUST include what you had received as guidelines for those edits. Only idea? Ready script? Brandbook?
3. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a paid test edit.
