JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
We're building a crypto trading platform where user experience is our competitive advantage.
Most crypto products are overly complex, difficult to navigate, and designed for power users rather than everyday traders. We believe great design should make complex actions feel simple, intuitive, and obvious.
We're looking for a Product Designer who combines strong UI craftsmanship with deep UX thinking. Someone who can challenge assumptions, communicate design decisions clearly, and take ownership of outcomes rather than simply executing tasks.

This is a highly collaborative role where you'll work closely with Product and Engineering to shape the experience from concept through launch.

What You'll Do
Own end-to-end design for key product journeys across web and mobile experiences.
Transform complex trading, onboarding, compliance, and financial workflows into intuitive user experiences.
Design low-fidelity concepts, wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and polished high-fidelity interfaces.
Lead UX thinking across onboarding, trading, portfolio management, social features, and future product initiatives.
Build, maintain, and evolve scalable design systems, component libraries, documentation, and usage standards.
Conduct audits of existing designs and components to improve consistency and eliminate duplication.
Prototype rapidly and iterate based on user feedback, analytics, and product insights.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to define requirements, scope MVPs, and ensure design quality throughout implementation.
Create developer-ready specifications and collaborate during development to ensure accurate execution.
Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and emerging UX patterns to identify opportunities for improvement.

What We're Looking For:

Core Requirements
Strong portfolio demonstrating real product work and end-to-end UX thinking.
Experience designing modern web and mobile applications.
Advanced Figma proficiency including:
Auto Layout
Components
Variants
Variables/Tokens
Prototyping
Proven experience creating, maintaining, documenting, and scaling design systems.
Ability to explain design decisions clearly and justify usability choices with structured reasoning.
Ability to independently move projects from ambiguity to execution.
Strong understanding of UX principles and interaction design, not just visual execution.
Ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive experiences.
Strong systems thinking and attention to detail.
Ability to create clear developer handoff documentation and specifications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ideal Experience
Experience in crypto, fintech, investing, payments, or trading products.
Understanding of user onboarding, KYC flows, compliance-driven experiences, and financial products.
Familiarity with product analytics, user testing, conversion optimization, and experimentation.
Basic understanding of front-end development, responsive design, and technical constraints.
Experience working in startup environments with fast iteration cycles.
Familiarity with modern AI-assisted workflows and tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, v0, or similar.

This role is for you if:
You think like a product builder, not just a designer.
You can clearly explain the reasoning behind your design decisions.
You proactively identify problems and propose solutions before being asked.
You communicate effectively and collaborate well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are comfortable owning projects without constant direction or management.
You care about outcomes, not just deliverables.
You challenge category norms and bring fresh thinking to product experiences.
You can make complex functionality feel obvious within seconds.

Nice to Have:
Crypto trading experience.
Fintech or investment product experience.
Motion design experience.
Experience conducting user interviews and usability testing.
Familiarity with front-end frameworks and developer workflows.

Compensation:
Starting at $700+/month, depending on experience and fit.
Bi-weekly payments via Wise, or direct to bank account method.
Performance-based compensation reviews and bonuses after probation.

Application Process
Please submit:
Portfolio showcasing relevant product design work
Figma portfolio or case studies
Brief introduction explaining your design process and approach
WhatsApp number for communication
When applying, include one project where you simplified a complex workflow and explain the thinking behind your solution.
