The Role
We are looking for an elite Senior Video Editor with 5+ years of professional experience to join our high-growth marketing team. This is not just a "cutter" role; we are looking for a creative partner—someone who understands why people watch, how to keep them engaged, and how to turn raw footage into high-performing assets for YouTube and social media. You should bring experience with ideas and growth in the content space to elevate our work beyond base expectations.

The Standard
Self-checking your work is a critical pillar of this role. We produce a high volume of content within the Marketing Department; time wasted by management Quality Checking (QC’ing) sloppy work or simple mistakes is time wasted from other important tasks. You are expected to be your own toughest critic and deliver "ready-to-post" files every time.

Core Responsibilities
* Performance Optimization: You must have the ability to surgically "cut out" bad performance ---------- nts from on-screen talent. You are responsible for manufacturing the best possible version of the speaker to ensure the clearest communication of ideas.
* High-Volume Management: Ability to keep up with our high-volume weekly workload (3 long-form videos and 2–6 shorts per week).
- Phase 1: Ownership of one main weekly podcast + shorts (~7–20 min runtime).
- Phase 2: Transitioning to take over a second weekly series (~17–23 min runtime).
* Custom Animation: Build high-quality animations from scratch (not just utilizing templates). You will build animated graphics and bullet point lists to help our audience follow along and significantly improve their ability to understand complex material.
* Advanced Post-Production: Professional-grade Color Grading using DaVinci Resolve and surgical Audio Mixing skills to ensure broadcast-quality clarity.
* AI Asset Creation: Proficiently create visual elements using AI tools (GPT, Gemini, Nano Banana, etc.) to enhance storytelling and supplement B-roll.

Qualifications & Skills
* Professional Experience: 5+ years working with clients on commercial, narrative, documentary, or social-media projects. Prior experience with financial planning content is a plus.
* Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
* Strategic Thinking: A deep understanding of YouTube retention metrics and a track record of work that has earned viral results.
* Communication: Exceptional English communication skills and high-level organizational habits are crucial for this role.
* Reliability: Comfort working fixed US office hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST) with a stable, high-speed internet connection and backup power when needed.
