Bookkeeper — Real Estate Brokerage,
Mortgage & Escrow | QuickBooks + SkySlope Books

Budget: depending on experience and location

Timezone: Must overlap Pacific Time (PST/PDT) by 4+ hours

OVERVIEW

We are a vertically integrated real estate company headquartered in Southern California, operating three entities: Link Brokerages, Inc. (real estate brokerage, ?200 agents, licensed in 7 states), First Link Mortgage (NMLS # ---------- , multi-state mortgage brokerage), and Link Escrow (California DFPI-licensed escrow company). We need an experienced bookkeeper to own financial records across all three companies on an ongoing part-time basis.
All three entities use QuickBooks Online. The brokerage uses SkySlope Books, which has a live API integration with QuickBooks.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Full-cycle bookkeeping across three entities in QuickBooks Online
• Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for all three companies
• Accounts payable and receivable management
• SkySlope Books reconciliation and QuickBooks API sync (Link Brokerages)
• Mortgage compliance bookkeeping: state licensing fees, RESPA-aligned cost categorization, origination expense tracking (First Link Mortgage)
• Escrow trust account support and California DFPI-compliant recordkeeping (Link Escrow)
• Monthly financial reports: P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow per entity
• Year-end close support and CPA package preparation
• Light administrative/office management support as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS

• QuickBooks Online — proficient (ProAdvisor certification a strong plus)
• 3+ years bookkeeping experience
• Multi-entity bookkeeping experience
• Real estate brokerage, mortgage, or escrow bookkeeping experience preferred
• Strong English communication — written and verbal
• Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated workspace
• Available for weekly video check-in with Pacific Time zone overlap

NICE TO HAVE

• SkySlope Books experience
• U.S. GAAP familiarity
• Experience supporting U.S.-based real estate, mortgage, or financial services companies
• Multi-state or multi-jurisdiction bookkeeping experience
