JOB OVERVIEW

I’m hiring a full-time video editor to help me produce a high volume of short-form travel content for Instagram (with some YouTube Shorts).

This is a fast-paced, long-term role for someone who understands how to make content that people actually watch all the way through.

About the Content

I create travel content focused on flights, deals, and behind-the-scenes experiences. The style is a mix of:

Vlog-style clips
Voiceover-driven videos (no talking head)
Occasional direct-to-camera/talking head

The goal is not just aesthetic travel content — it’s engaging, informative, and personality-driven.

What This Role Looks Like
Editing multiple reels per day (this is high volume)
Turning raw footage + loose ideas into polished 15–30 second videos
Occasionally editing longer Shorts (up to ~3 minutes for flight reviews)
Working quickly and iterating fast

What You’ll Do
Cut footage down aggressively (remove pauses, filler, dead space)
Maintain fast pacing that keeps retention high
Add high-quality captions and text overlays that grab attention and are on-brand
Shape strong hooks and structure (not just assemble clips)
Use green screen editing when needed
Work with my real voice for voiceovers (no AI voiceovers)
Follow and apply my brand colors and visual style

You’re a great fit if you:

Have experience editing for Reels/TikTok/Shorts
Know how to make videos feel fast and engaging
Are highly skilled with text-on-screen
Can take a rough idea and make it better
Can handle high output without sacrificing quality
Are responsive and can turn around edits quickly

Bonus Skills (Strong Plus)
Content ideation and brainstorming
Ability to research trends and adapt them to my niche
Understanding of hooks, retention, and what makes content perform

All videos are vertical (9:16)
Captions are required on all videos
Must follow my branding (colors, style, tone)
No AI voiceovers — only my real voice
This role requires speed, taste, and attention to detail

Hiring Process
I will be hiring multiple editors for a paid test project.
From there, I will select one or more editors to work with long-term.
