JOB OVERVIEW

I'm a YouTube creator in the beauty and lifestyle space looking for a reliable, creative video editor to join my team on a per-project (per-gig) basis. This is NOT an hourly role — you'll be paid a flat rate per finished video.
About the content you'll be editing:
I produce four categories of video content, and you'll be quoting a flat rate for each:

Short-form content (60 seconds – 3 minutes): Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts
Short horizontal videos (5 – 15 minutes): Tutorials, sit-down videos
Mid-length videos (20 – 30 minutes): Talking-head videos, mini vlogs
Long-form YouTube videos (45 – 60 minutes): Lifestyle vlogs

What I need from you (required):

Proven experience editing YouTube content for lifestyle, beauty, or similar female-focused creators (please share links to your best work)
Proficiency in at least one of: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
Strong sense of pacing — you know how to cut out filler, keep retention high, and make talking-head videos feel dynamic
Experience editing across multiple formats: vertical short-form (9:16) AND horizontal long-form (16:9)
Ability to add tasteful b-roll placement, subtle motion graphics, clean text overlays, captions/subtitles, color grading, and audio balancing
Reliable communication — responds to messages and emails within 24 hours (this is a deal-breaker for me; I've had bad luck with editors who ghost)
Able to meet agreed-upon deadlines consistently
Stable internet and a computer capable of handling 4K footage
Willingness to learn and use ---------- for our review process (prior experience is a plus, but not required — it's easy to pick up)

Nice to have:

- Previous experience with ----------
- Experience with thumbnail design
- Familiarity with YouTube trends, hooks, and retention strategies (especially for lifestyle/beauty audiences)
- Experience with sound design / licensed music libraries (Epidemic Sound, Artlist, etc.)
- Ability to repurpose long-form content into short-form (e.g., pulling Shorts/Reels from a vlog)
- Ability to match an established brand aesthetic after reviewing reference videos

Workflow:

- Raw footage delivered via WeTransfer
- All review rounds happen in ---------- — you'll upload the cut, I'll leave time-stamped comments, and you'll action them before final delivery (I'm happy to walk you through it if you're new to the tool)
- Turnaround time agreed per project based on video category (typically 3–7 days depending on length)
- Payment via [your preferred method — e.g., Wise, PayPal]
