Video Editor (Remote)
USA based eyewear brand | Part-Time ? Full-Time with Strong Performance
Location: Remote
Hours: 20 hours/week to start ? Full-time (40 hrs/week) after ~2 months
Compensation: Based on experience + performance bonuses
About The Brand:
We are a sophisticated eyewear brand designing small-batch, handmade sunglasses for smaller face shapes, an overlooked niche in the industry. Each piece is crafted in Italy and released in limited quantities.
We are building a brand rooted in storytelling, craftsmanship, and high taste. We are looking for a video editor to help us improve quality, output, and consistency of social media content.
The Role
This is a video editing role with a strong emphasis on storytelling, craftsmanship, brand building, elevated taste, consistency, and founder-led content.
You will be responsible for turning raw footage into high-performing, visually cohesive content across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. You will work 1:1 with the founder in 2-3 weekly meetings to discuss social media strategy and goals for the week.
Key Responsibilities
Content Editing (Primary Focus)
- Edit short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Turn raw footage into engaging, high-retention videos
- Create multiple variations of select videos for A/B testing and trial reels
- Incorporate B-roll, overlays, captions, and sound design
Visual Identity & Consistency
- Apply Memorí’s approved visual elements (fonts, colors, style)
- Maintain consistency across all content without handholding
- Help develop a signature editing style and recurring content series
Carousels & Static Content
- Create carousel posts that are visually cohesive and on-brand
- Ensure consistency in layout, typography, and storytelling
-Create thumbnails for short form video content that is on-brand yet easy to read
Founder-Led Content
- Edit and shape founder-led content into clear, engaging narratives
- Highlight personality, humor, and storytelling to build trust with our audience
Collaboration & Workflow
- Work from organized Google Drive folders of approved content
- Independently select and combine elements into strong final outputs
- Participate in 2x weekly strategy and feedback calls
Performance & Reporting
- Contribute to weekly discussions on what is working vs. not
- Be open to feedback and iteration
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Haves
- Strong portfolio of short-form video content
- High taste level and strong visual instincts
- Ability to maintain consistency across content
- Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, and storytelling
- Ability to execute without constant direction
High Taste Level (Non-Negotiable)
You must understand what feels premium, elevated, and aligned with a contemporary brand.
Compensation Structure
Phase 1: Trial (First ~2 Months)
- Base pay only, hourly rate
- Opportunity to transition to full-time
Phase 2: Full-Time
-Weekly base salary + performance bonuses
- Bonuses based on top 3 performing posts each month
- Evaluated on:
- Saves and shares, watch time, engagement quality
*Engagement must come from authentic audience behavior. Any indication of artificial engagement (bots, pods, etc.) will be disqualified from bonuses and may lead to termination.
