About the role
We are hiring our first dedicated HR Manager. At QB Commerce, HR is one of the most important departments in the entire company because the quality of our team is what drives everything else. This is not a support role sitting on the sidelines. You will be at the center of our growth, working directly alongside the founders and department leaders as their right hand on everything people-related.
You will own HR completely. Your main focus will be recruitment: finding, screening, and onboarding the right people across OnlineJobs.ph, Upwork, and LinkedIn. Our team is made up of specialised e-commerce professionals and you need to understand these roles to hire well for them. When a department leader needs to grow their team, you are the first person they call.

What you will do
Work closely with founders and department leaders to understand hiring needs and team gaps
Own the full recruitment cycle from job post to signed contract
Write targeted role-specific job posts that attract quality candidates
Screen and shortlist applicants based on clear criteria
Conduct first-round interviews and pass qualified candidates to the hiring manager
Manage onboarding for all new hires, contracts, tools access, first-week experience
Build and maintain a candidate database and hiring tracker
Create and document HR processes, templates, and an employee handbook from scratch
Be the internal go-to for tea
Proactively improve our hiring process over time
What we are looking for
3+ years of HR or recruitment experience with a strong e-commerce hiring background
Proven hands-on experience with OnlineJobs.ph, you know how to find quality not just volume
You genuinely understand e-commerce roles: you can evaluate a video editor's portfolio, assess a creative strategist's experience, or spot a strong ops candidate
Comfortable working directly with founders and senior leaders, you can hold your own in a room with decision makers
Experience running a full hiring funnel independently without needing to be managed
Excellent written English, your job posts and candidate communications represent our brand
Highly organised and process-driven, you build systems not workarounds
Comfortable working with remote tools like Google Sheets, Notion, or Slack
Reliable internet connection, your own equipment, and a dedicated workspace
Any additional language on top of English is a plus
This role is NOT for you if
You need constant direction to know what to work on
Your HR experience is mainly admin, payroll, or compliance
You are not familiar with e-commerce roles and how to evaluate them
You treat hiring as a numbers game rather than a quality match
You are looking for a quiet low-responsibility position
