JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Business Systems Specialist to help build, maintain, and improve the systems that power our day-to-day operations. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to understand business processes, translate needs into technical solutions, and deliver automation, reporting, and integrations that scale.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can comfortably move between business users and technical implementation. While we use specific tools like Salesforce, Boomi, Power Automate, and Power BI, we are looking for someone with a solid foundation in CRM/ERP administration, system integrations, and workflow automation who is eager to learn and master our specific tech stack.

Key Responsibilities
• Workflow Automation
o Design, build, and maintain automated workflows to streamline business processes.
o Troubleshoot and optimize existing automations for performance, reliability, and clarity.
o Implement approval workflows, notifications, data syncs, and operational automations.

• Reporting & Analytics
o Build and maintain business reports and dashboards based on stakeholder requirements.
o Connect to data sources, shape data, and create clear visualizations for decision-making.
o Ensure reporting is accurate, well-documented, and easy for end users to interpret.

• System Integrations
o Configure and support integration processes across internal systems.
o Assist with monitoring, error handling, and ongoing integration improvements.
o Document integration logic, data mappings, and dependencies.

• CRM/ERP Administration & Enablement
o Implement and configure CRM/ERP environments (Dynamics 365, Salesforce, etc.) to align with client-specific workflows).
o Assist with data imports, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and user support.
o Partner with teams to improve adoption and ensure the CRM/ERP matches business processes.

• Cross-Functional Support
o Gather requirements, map current-state and future-state processes, and recommend solutions.
o Provide clear documentation (process flows, system configs, runbooks).
o Communicate status, risks, and timelines effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
Required
• Experience with CRM/ERP Systems Foundation: Experience supporting or administering a CRM/ERP (e.g., Dynamics 365, Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Automation & Integration Experience: Familiarity with building automated workflows and connecting systems (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, Boomi, MuleSoft, etc.).
• API Knowledge: Basic understanding of APIs (REST preferred), including authentication concepts and data formats (JSON).
• Comfort Working with APIs: Ability to use API documentation to understand how to connect and move data between systems.
• Business Process Knowledge: Strong ability to understand business workflows and translate them into system logic.
• Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, with a customer-service mindset.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Familiarity with iPaaS concepts (monitoring, error handling, retries, logging).
• Experience working in a ticketing system and documenting changes.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a strong desire to learn new tools and technologies.
