Role Overview
Azimu Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Graphic Designer to support a range of visual design needs across multiple equity-focused projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging or early-career designer to gain meaningful, real-world experience creating visual assets for social impact initiatives.
The Designer will work remotely on a flexible schedule, with one required weekly 1-hour check-in with a supervisor during the first two months of engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design graphics for social media platforms, websites, and digital campaigns
- Support branding initiatives, including logo concept development and visual identity updates
- Produce presentation decks, print materials, and design collateral
- Assist with UI/UX elements for web and digital products
- Contribute to video editing tasks for short-form content
- Apply and adhere to existing brand guidelines (colors, typography, and layout) while adapting them across diverse projects
- Participate in periodic design reviews and creative brainstorming sessions
- Manage assigned tasks independently, meeting established deadlines
Qualifications
We welcome applications from students and early-career designers who are actively building their skills and portfolios. Prior professional experience is not required.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Figma, or InDesign
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn
- Interest in equity-centered design, community impact, or social justice work
- Access to a personal laptop (software access may be provided as needed)
Portfolio Requirement
Applicants are encouraged to submit a portfolio or design samples that showcase any of the following (student work is welcome):
- Logo designs
- Social media templates
- Website or app mockups
