Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time

About the Role
The company is looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in short-term rental (STR) or property management operations.
This role is ideal for someone who is both:
- Operationally strong (can manage day-to-day complexities, guest and owner issues), and
- Forward-thinking (interested in improving systems, automating workflows, and leveraging AI tools)
You will support daily operations while also helping the company optimize and scale by reducing manual work and improving team efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Issue Management
- Handle escalated guest and property issues with strong judgment and professionalism
- Coordinate with vendors, property owners, and internal tea
- Make real-time decisions that balance guest satisfaction, owner relationships, and business outcomes
- Step into complex situations (e.g., maintenance issues, guest complaints) and resolve them effectively
Team Support & Oversight
- Support and collaborate with existing VAs handling guest communication and operations
- Provide guidance and help reduce unnecessary escalations to leadership
- Potential to take on more leadership responsibilities as the company grows
Process Improvement & Systems Thinking
- Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and recommend improvements
- Help standardize and document processes
- Continuously look for ways to improve operational performance
Automation & AI Enablement
- Identify repetitive/manual tasks and opportunities for automation
- Build or support workflow automation using modern tools (AI, cloud-based systems, etc.)
- Contribute to creating a more “lean but powerful” operations team
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years experience in property management or short-term rental operations
- Familiarity with AI tools, automation platforms, or system-building
- Experience improving processes or workflows
- Strong understanding of day-to-day operations in a property management company
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Proven ability to problem-solve independently and make sound decisions
- Experience handling guest issues, vendor coordination, and owner communication
