JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled First-Pass Video Editor / Assistant Editor to join our creative team and help shape fast-paced, engaging YouTube chaos vlogs from large amounts of raw footage.

This is not just a polishing role. We need someone who can take 30GB–100GB+ of raw 4K footage, go through it properly, remove dead takes, repeated takes, unusable footage, filler, cut down b roll and weak sections, then build a strong first-pass edit that gives us the backbone of the video.

The final creative polish may still be done internally, so this role is about saving serious time by making smart editing decisions early and building a solid, watchable assembly. Therefore it is essential that you are using Adobe Premiere.

Key Responsibilities
Review and organize large amounts of raw vlog footage
Cut out dead takes, repeated takes, mistakes, dead air, filler, and unusable footage
Build a strong first-pass story edit fro ---------- ssy real-world footage
Tighten talking sections and improve pacing
Add simple visual coverage where needed to hide cuts and keep the video engaging
Follow feedback and improve over time
Return editable project files and high-quality exports when required
Requirements
Strong experience editing long-form YouTube content
Good judgment for what footage is usable, funny, important, or should be cut
Ability to work with large 4K projects and large file transfers
Strong understanding of pacing and audience retention
Good understanding of written and spoken English
Own editing setup, including capable computer, editing software, storage, and reliable internet
Comfortable working independently and making smart choices without needing every cut explained

Nice to Have
Experience editing travel vlogs, comedy, challenge videos, or personality-led content
Experience with proxy workflows and large project organization
Ability to source or place simple supporting visuals where needed

About You

You are not just someone who adds effects. You understand that good editing starts with judgment — knowing what to remove, what to keep, and how to shape messy footage into something entertaining and clear.

You are organized, efficient, responsive to feedback, and able to work through raw footage without getting lost.

How to Apply

Please send:

2–3 relevant samples of long-form YouTube edits
A short note explaining exactly what you did on each sample
What editing software you use
Your computer specs
Your experience with large 4K projects
A short explanation of how you would turn 100GB+ of messy vlog footage into a strong first-pass edit

Your rate and availability.
We are open to different working arrangements, so please provide your salary expectations and hours of availability.

Shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete a small paid test edit.
