JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Full Stack Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead end-to-end development of complex WordPress-based web applications, from database architecture and server-side logic to custom themes, plugins, and front-end interfaces.
You will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance digital solutions. The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services (payment gateways, CRMs, etc.)
- Develop responsive, cross-browser compatible front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Architect and optimize MySQL databases for performance and scalability
- Manage and configure web hosting environments (cPanel, Linux servers, Nginx/Apache)
- Implement security best practices, including WordPress hardening and vulnerability patching
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior developers
- Collaborate with UI/UX teams to translate wireframes into fully functional pages
- Optimize website performance including Core Web Vitals, page speed, and caching strategies
- Manage version control using Git and participate in CI/CD workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and compatibility conflicts
- Document technical specifications, development processes, and API integrations

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on WordPress development experience
- Strong proficiency in PHP (OOP), JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SASS
- Deep understanding of WordPress core, hooks, filters, the WP REST API, and WP-CLI
- Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg/Block Editor)
- Proficiency with MySQL — query optimization, stored procedures, and schema design
- Solid experience with React.js or Vue.js for modern front-end development
- Familiarity with Node.js and headless/decoupled WordPress architectures
- Strong command of Git, GitHub/GitLab, and collaborative branching workflows
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or DigitalOcean
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and technical SEO implementation
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver projects on schedule

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WooCommerce development, customizations, and payment gateway integrations
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized development environments
- Knowledge of GraphQL and headless CMS setups (e.g., WPGraphQL + Next.js)
- Experience with Multisite WordPress installations and management
- Background in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Contributions to open-source WordPress themes or plugins
- Experience with testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Jest, Cypress)
