JOB OVERVIEW

**Job Description:**

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR A HOMECARE AGENCY, AND EXPERIENCE WITH EVV SOFTWARE HHAEXCHANGE. You will go through a trial before starting employment.

We are a growing home care agency based in Michigan seeking an experienced **Virtual Assistant (VA)** to handle **intake, coordination, and day-to-day operations**. This role is critical to keeping our agency organized, compliant, and running efficiently.

** REQUIREMENT: Must have prior experience working with a Home Care Agency. Must have experience using EHR software and/or HHAExchange. Applications without this will not be considered.**

**Responsibilities:**

* Manage **new patient intake** (referrals, authorizations, documentation)
* Communicate with **insurance companies (Aetna, Medicaid, etc.)**
* Verify eligibility and services
* Coordinate caregiver scheduling and client onboarding
* Maintain and update client records in EHR systems
* Handle **plan of care documentation support**
* Follow up on missing paperwork and compliance items
* Communicate with clients, families, and staff professionally
* Assist with general admin and operational tasks

**What You Will NOT Do:**

* Billing
* Payroll

---

**Requirements:**

* Proven experience with **home care / HHA operations**
* Strong understanding of **intake, authorizations, and compliance**
* Experience with EHR systems (ClearCare, AxisCare, AlayaCare, etc. preferred)
* Knowledge of Medicaid processes is a PLUS
* Highly organized and detail-oriented
* Strong communication skills (phone + email)
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

**Preferred:**

* Experience with Michigan home care systems (or similar states)
* Familiar with EVV and caregiver documentation workflows
