We are a growing e-commerce company currently in the pre-launch/product testing phase for two brand-new, high-end Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) physical product brands:
1. Stubble Suede: A premiu
2. Rivrstone: A highly visual, premium diatomaceous earth bath stone loofah.
Before our development team writes a single line of code, we need an "Architect." We are looking for an elite-level UI/UX Designer to build the complete visual blueprints for our Shopify stores using Figma.
To be clear: This is strictly a design role. We are already hiring a dedicated Shopify developer. Your job is to focus 100% on designing stunning, mobile-first, high-converting aesthetics that our developer will later bring to life.
Our Visual Standard:
We are aiming for an agency-level, premium, modern design. Our benchmark for clean layout, premium typography, whitespace, and visual flow can be seen here:
If your portfolio consists of generic, clunky, or outdated templates, this will not be a good fit. We need someone with a brilliant eye for visual hierarchy and mobile-first e-commerce conversion psychology.
What You Will Do:
- Design completely custom, high-fidelity Figma wireframes and prototypes for the Homepage, Product Detail Pages (PDP), Cart slide-out, and Checkout flows.
- Design with a strict "Mobile-First" obsession. Since most of our traffic will come from social media ads, the mobile layout must be flawless and optimized for "one-thumb" navigation.
- Take our raw brand assets and weave them into a cohesive, premium digital storefront.
- Organize your Figma files perfectly (using auto-layout, global styles, and clear components) so our developers know exactly how to build what you designed.
What We Are Looking For:
- Master-level proficiency in Figma.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating modern, clean, and premium eCommerce web design (specifically for physical DTC products).
- A deep understanding of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) from a visual standpoint.
How to Apply (READ CAREFULLY):
We ignore automated, copy-pasted AI cover letters. To prove you read this entire post and have an eye for detail, please start your application with the exact word "Blueprint".
In your application, you MUST include the following 4 items:
1. Your Portfolio: Links to your 2-3 best eCommerce designs. (Direct Figma presentation links or live websites where YOU were the primary UI/UX designer).
2. Your Profiles: A link to your Upwork and/or LinkedIn profile so we can verify your past work history.
3. A Loom Video Walkthrough (Required): Record a brief 2-minute Loom video of your screen. Open up a past eCommerce Figma file you designed and walk us through your workspace. Show us how you organize your layers/components for developer handoff, and explain why you laid out the mobile product page the way you did. (Applications without a Loom video of a Figma file will be instantly deleted).
4. Screening Question: When designing a mobile e-commerce Product Detail Page (PDP), what is the biggest visual mistake designers make "above the fold" (before the user scrolls), and what critical elements absolutely MUST be visible in that space to ensure a high conversion rate?
We are looking for a true design partner to help us build these brands from the ground up. If you have the talent to rival top-tier digital agencies, we'd love to hear from you!
