JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Freelance Video Editor (High-Volume) – Color Grading, Storytelling & S-Log3 Expertise

Location: Remote / Work from Anywhere

Compensation: Commission-based (percentage per project, per video, or per batch – scalable with volume, quality, and speed). High earning potential for consistent, high-output performers handling large workloads. Earnings tied directly to results and client satisfaction— fixed salary applicable where met.

About the Role
We are building a reliable team of skilled freelance video editors capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You’ll transform raw footage into engaging, polished videos for social media, real estate tours, weddings, corporate promos, lifestyle content, and more. This is ideal for hardworking editors who love grinding through batches while delivering cinematic quality every time.

Key Responsibilities
• Edit high-volume video projects efficiently (e.g., multiple shorts/reels per day or long-form batches under tight deadlines)
• Assemble raw footage into compelling narratives with strong storytelling and visual pacing
• Perform professional color grading and correction to achieve cinematic looks
• Handle S-Log3 (Sony Log) footage expertly: exposure recovery, dynamic range management, LUT application, and creative grading
• Create clean, accurate subtitles, captions, and on-screen text (timed, styled, and optimized for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok)
• Use industry-standard tools for cutting, transitions, effects, audio syncing/mixing, and final exports
• Collaborate closely with creators/photographers/directors to match vision, incorporate feedback quickly, and iterate
• Maintain organized workflows, backups, and file delivery standards

Requirements
• Proven experience in high-volume video editing (e.g., daily/weekly output of shorts, reels, or batch projects without sacrificing quality)
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro, After Effects) and DaVinci Resolve (must be comfortable in both for editing and advanced grading)
• Expert-level color grading skills, with demonstrated ability to elevate footage creatively and technically
• Solid experience in storytelling and visual capture—crafting emotional flow, rhythm, and engagement that hooks viewers
• Hands-on experience working with S-Log3 footage (Sony’s log profile for high dynamic range—recovery, normalization, and cinematic grading required)
• Proficient in creating subtitles and captions (manual timing, styling, accessibility, and platform optimization)
• Extremely hardworking and dedicated—self-motivated, reliable under pressure, and committed to fast turnarounds and quality
• Portfolio required: Show before/after examples, especially with S-Log3 graded work, high-volume projects, color-graded pieces, and captioned videos

What We Offer
• Fully remote, flexible freelance work—choose your volume and schedule (but expect consistent projects for top performers)
• Commission structure that rewards speed, quality, and reliability (higher rates/% for proven high-output editors)
• Steady stream of ongoing work across genres (real estate, weddings, corporate, social content, etc.)
• Opportunity to grow earnings through performance and build long-term partnerships
• Direct feedback to help refine your craft and increase your take-home

How to Apply

Email
your:
• Resume or brief bio highlighting high-volume experience
• Portfolio link (Vimeo, YouTube, Google Drive, etc.) with before/after clips, S-Log3 graded examples, captioned videos, and storytelling pieces

We review applications rolling and may request a quick test edit (e.g., grading a short S-Log3 clip or adding captions to a sample). If you’re a dedicated editor who thrives on volume and delivers cinematic results, we want to hear from you!
