Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Setup + Backlog Cleanup + Monthly Close) — Remote (PH)
Pay: $4–$6 USD/hour (midpoint $5)
Hours: 25–40 hrs/week (contractor) | Start: ASAP

About the role
We need a real bookkeeper to clean up and capture everything properly. Your job is to go through past bank statements + receipts, enter and categorise transactions, attach proofs, and get us to a clean monthly close. This needs to be accurate and audit-ready so we can hand it to an Australian accountant later.
What you’ll be doing
• Import and reconcile bank statements (including backlog)
• Enter/categorise all expenses and income correctly
• Attach receipts/invoices to transactions (capture system must be consistent)
• Set up and run QuickBooks (preferred) or propose an alternative if you have a better system
• Build a simple monthly close process: reconciliation + clean monthly summary
• Keep everything organised and searchable (folders + naming + notes)
What we’re looking for (non-negotiable)
• Proven bookkeeping experience (not “admin who can learn”)
• Strong QuickBooks/Xero/QBO experience
• High accuracy, consistency, and comfort with messy backlogs
• Can build a repeatable system and stick to it
