JOB OVERVIEW

ORO Design is a US-based landscape design studio producing high-end 3D renderings, 2D site plans, and video walkthroughs for outdoor living contractors nationwide. We operate on a membership model, deliver 40+ projects per month, and we are growing the team behind that output.
We are hiring a 3D House Modeler to build accurate SketchUp models of existing homes and site conditions using approved 2D base plans and client site photos. Your work feeds directly into our 3D production pipeline — the 3D Designers pick up where you leave off and begin landscape and hardscape design immediately.
This is a full-time remote position. You will work within a structured daily workflow, report to our Design Director, and deliver clean, organized SketchUp files that are immediately usable by the production team.
This role also has room to grow. The House Modeler works closely with our 3D production team and has direct exposure to how professional landscape rendering is done at a high level. For someone serious about their craft, this is a starting point, not a stopping point.
What You Will Do
— Build accurate SketchUp house shell models from 2D base plans and site photos
— Model existing site conditions including fencing, site boundary, and driveway
— Apply existing house textures using SketchUp's built-in material library
— Include existing utilities and exterior fixtures visible in site photos
— Deliver clean, organized SketchUp files with proper tag/layer structure
— Complete a QA checklist before every delivery
— Deliver standard models within 1 business day; complex models within 2
What We Require
— Hands-on SketchUp experience modeling residential or architectural structures
— Ability to read a 2D floor plan and translate it accurately into 3D geometry
— Ability to interpret site photos for roof pitch, story height, and architectural features
— Comfortable working in feet and inches
— Strong file organization — clean grouping, tag/layer structure, no loose geometry
— Clear written English communication
— Landscape or outdoor living design experience is a strong plus
