We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician & Security Specialist to support and maintain our organization’s technology infrastructure while ensuring the highest level of system and data security. This role is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, managing systems and networks, and implementing security measures to protect company assets.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, hands-on IT support experience, and a solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices. They are dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
IT Support & Systems Management:
Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
Install, configure, and maintain computers, systems, and applications
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Maintain IT documentation and system records
Network & Infrastructure:
Set up and maintain network systems (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)
Monitor network performance and ensure reliability
Configure routers, switches, and firewalls
Assist with system upgrades and infrastructure improvements
Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
Implement and maintain security protocols and best practices
Monitor systems for security threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches
Manage antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint protection tools
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments
Ensure data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans are in place
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure systems comply with security standards and company policies
Identify risks and recommend security improvements
Assist in developing IT security policies and procedures
Support audits and compliance checks
Requirements:
Proven experience as an IT Technician, IT Support Specialist, or similar role
Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting
Experience with cybersecurity practices and tools
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls)
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
