JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative with extensive medical billing experience to support our dermatology clients. This role is critical to both patient satisfaction and revenue performance. You will serve as the primary point of contact for patients with billing-related questions, while also identifying and resolving underlying insurance and claims issues.

This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes. Experience supporting dermatology practices is a major advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
-Handle high inbound call volumes and written inquiries (email and messaging) from patients across multiple client accounts
-Clearly explain patient balances, insurance adjustments, deductibles, co-insurance, and EOBs in a patient-friendly manner
-Collect patient payments over the phone in compliance with PCI and HIPAA standards
-Review claims and billing activity to identify root causes of patient balances, including denials, underpayments, and posting issues
-Accurately document interactions and outcomes in the practice management system
-Escalate complex billing or insurance issues to the appropriate internal billing teams or client contacts when necessary
-Deliver consistently professional, empathetic, and solutions-oriented customer service

Required Skills / Experience:
-Extensive experience in medical billing is required. Applicants without medical billing experience will not be considered.
-Strong understanding of U.S. medical insurance, including eligibility, benefits, deductibles, co-insurance, denials, and appeals
-Ability to analyze claims, EOBs, and account histories to diagnose billing issues accurately
-Prior experience supporting dermatology practices is highly preferred
-Proficiency with practice management and EHR systems; ability to learn new systems quickly
-Strong computer skills and excellent typing accuracy
-Clear and fluent American accent with strong verbal communication skills
-Exceptional customer service skills with a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor
-High attention to detail and ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume workload

-Laptop: 8th generation Intel Core i5 (8000 series) or better, or AMD Ryzen equivalent
-Desktop: AMD Ryzen 5 (3000 series or higher) or Intel Core i3 (10th generation or higher)

-Reliable work-from-home setup located in the Philippines
-Stable internet connection with minimum 25 Mbps speed
