JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly analytical Financial Data Analyst to support our finance and business teams through data-driven insights and reporting.

This role focuses on financial data analysis, reporting, and visualization, leveraging tools such as SQL and Excel to support business decisions. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in finance and accounting principles, combined with technical expertise in handling large datasets and building meaningful reports.

You’ll play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights, ensuring accuracy, and supporting financial reporting cycles.

Key Responsibilities
-Data Analysis & Reporting
Perform data analysis, reporting, and visualization to support finance and business teams
Prepare and present financial reports, identifying trends and key insights for stakeholders

-SQL & Data Management
Use SQL to query large datasets, ensuring accurate and efficient data retrieval
Assist in troubleshooting data-related issues and ensuring data integrity across platforms

-Financial Modeling & Excel Support
Leverage Excel for advanced data manipulation, financial modeling, and reporting
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis tasks

-Financial Reporting Support
Provide support for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles
Assist in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

-Process Improvement & Collaboration
Assist in improving data processes and optimizing reporting efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored reports

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications
Intermediate to expert proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting
Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, advanced functions)
Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles (e.g., general ledger, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting)

Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to NetSuite, including integration and report generation
Experience using Tableau for dashboards and data visualization
Familiarity with Snowflake data warehouse and its functionalities

Skills & Attributes
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
High attention to detail and accuracy in working with data
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
3+ years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, or a similar role involving financial data
