JOB OVERVIEW

My name is Melanie Guintu, and I’m a travel vlogger focused on sharing authentic, real-life experiences around the world.

I’m currently looking for a video editor to help with:
• Long-form YouTube videos
• Short-form content (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Reels)

My editing style is not overly flashy. I value:
• Strong storytelling
• Clean, intentional cuts
• Emotional connection
• Relatable, real ---------- nts

The goal is to create engaging, binge-worthy content that keeps viewers watching and performs well on YouTube. I’m also looking for someone who can clip long-form YouTube videos into viral Shorts and Reels.

Typical output:
• ~2 YouTube videos (~30 mins to 1 hour each)
• ~5 Facebook videos (~3–5 minutes each)
• ~7-10 Shorts/Reels (~60 seconds each)

My travel vlogs are filmed in a more raw live stream style, so the editing focus is less on heavy effects and more on:
• Cutting out slower or unnecessary ---------- nts
• Maintaining strong pacing and flow
• Shaping the footage into a clear, engaging storyline

I’m looking for someone who:
• Understands YouTube pacing, retention, and viewer psychology
• Can structure footage into a compelling story (not just basic edits)
• Knows how to hook viewers in the first few seconds and maintain attention throughout
• Can add captions, music, and occasional effects/sound design to enhance engagement (without overdoing it)

Bonus if you:
• Have experience editing travel or vlog-style content
• Understand viral content and short-form clipping
