POSITION: Senior Social Media Manager and Growth Lead (E-commerce)

Our brand has achieved large-scale reach through viral content and retail expansion. Social media is a core growth engine for us, not just a content channel.
You will work alongside an experienced advisor (Brendan Cox), an internal creative team, and a project manager who handles contractor execution.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of social media and drive it forward at a strategic and execution level.
ROLE OVERVIEW
This is not a basic posting role.
We are looking for a high-level thinker and operator who understands how social media actually works — including algorithms, content performance, audience behavior, and growth strategies.
You will lead social media efforts, execute strategy, analyze performance, and continuously improve results. You should not need to be told what to do — you should see opportunities and act on them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Strategy and Execution
Own and manage all social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram,
Plan, create, and schedule content aligned with brand goals
Execute on strategic direction provided by leadership and advisor
Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and output
Content Creation and Optimization
Create or direct creation of high-performing content
Work closely with internal creative team (video, graphics, web)
Ensure content is purposeful, not just volume-driven
Continuously refine content based on performance data
Performance Analysis and Iteration
Track and analyze post performance (views, engagement, conversions)
Understand what is working and why
Run tests and experiments across content formats and styles
Make data-driven decisions to improve outcomes
Algorithm and Platform Understanding
Stay current on how social media algorithms function
Adjust strategies based on platform behavior and trends
Optimize posting timing, formats, and hooks for reach and engagement
Influencer and Affiliate Management
Identify and manage influencer relationships
Coordinate outreach, negotiations, and deliverables
Understand affiliate structures and performance tracking
Ensure influencer content aligns with brand goals
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work with:
Creative team (video, graphics, content production)
Web development team
Ads managers (for paid and organic alignment)
Contribute ideas and direction across departments
Creative Contribution and Ideation
Actively generate new content ideas and campaign concepts
Think beyond standard formats and trends
Contribute to brand storytelling and positioning
Process Ownership and Growth
Build and improve social media systems and workflows
Identify gaps and opportunities for growth
Continuously learn and adapt strategies
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Social Media Expertise (Critical)
Deep understanding of major platforms (TikTok, Instagram,
Strong knowledge of what makes content perform
Understanding of social media algorithms and audience behavior
Content and Creative Thinking
Ability to create or guide creation of engaging content
Strong sense of what captures attention and drives engagement
Ability to think creatively and strategically
Analytics and Decision Making
Ability to interpret performance data
Make logical decisions based on results
Experience running tests and improving outcomes over time
Communication
Strong written and verbal English
Ability to communicate clearly with tea

Experience managing influencers and affiliate programs
Experience working with creative teams (video, design, web)
Experience in e-commerce or product-based brands
