JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to support our design and construction team. The role will focus on creating accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and construction documentation for residential and light commercial projects. You will work closely with engineers, estimators, and project managers to ensure all plans are clear, complete, and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Create 2D drawings and technical plans using AutoCAD
Develop 3D models and visualizations using SketchUp and Revit
Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
Prepare detailed construction drawings, layouts, and shop drawings
Revise and update drawings based on feedback and project changes
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and standards
Collaborate with estimators and project managers to support project planning
Maintain organized documentation of drawings and revisions
Assist in identifying discrepancies or missing details in plans

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Draftsman / CAD Designer
Proficiency and experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit (REQUIRED)
Strong understanding of construction drawings and detailing
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with residential and commercial projects
Familiarity with MEP and structural drawings
Experience working with U.S.-based projects or standards
Knowledge of rendering tools is a plus
