About This Role
We are looking for a creative powerhouse who can do it all; design stunning visuals, produce engaging videos, write compelling copy, and manage our social media presence end-to-end. You will be the visual voice of STEAMUP Academy and play a major role in growing our brand awareness, attracting new students, and building an engaged online community.

This role is NOT for someone who only schedules posts. We need someone who can create professional-quality content, think strategically about our brand, and deliver scroll-stopping visuals consistently.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
Manage and grow STEAMUP Academy's presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
Develop and execute a monthly content calendar with consistent, on-brand posting
Write engaging, audience-appropriate captions with strategic hashtags
Monitor comments, DMs, and community engagement, respond and build relationships
Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and provide monthly reports
Stay current with platform trends, algorithm changes, and viral content formats

Video Production & Editing
- Create professional short-form video content for Reels, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Edit longer-form content such as program highlights, testimonials, and event recaps
- Add captions, graphics, transitions, and music to produce polished, engaging videos
- Create promotional videos and ads for STEAMUP Academy programs and events
- Record and edit basic voiceovers or coordinate with the CEO for video narration

Graphic Design & Visual Content
- Design eye-catching flyers, posters, banners, and promotional materials for programs and events
- Create branded social media graphics, story templates, and carousel posts
- Design email headers, newsletters, and digital marketing assets
- Produce presentation decks and pitch materials that reflect STEAMUP Academy's brand
- Ensure all visuals maintain consistent branding (colors, fonts, tone)

Marketing & Advertising
- Assist with planning and executing paid ad campaigns (Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Ads)
- Create content to support student enrollment, event registration, and partnership outreach
- Write basic marketing copy for emails, landing pages, and promotional materials
- Research competitors and emerging trends in STEAM education marketing
- Support community outreach initiatives with digital and print marketing collateral


Required Skills & Experience
Must Have:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management and content creation
- Expert-level proficiency in Canva Pro (portfolio of work required)
- Proficiency in video editing software; CapCut, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube best practices
- Excellent English writing skills; captions, copy, and communications must be flawless
- An eye for design: you understand composition, color theory, typography, and branding
- Ability to create content that is both visually beautiful AND strategically effective
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to hit deadlines without reminders

Preferred / Big Plus:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
- Experience running Facebook/Instagram Ads or Google Ads
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Flodesk, or similar)
- Experience with scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite)
- Video content creation experience using a smartphone or basic camera setup
- Background or interest in education, youth programs, or nonprofits
- Experience with YouTube SEO and growing a YouTube channel
