We are a growing law firm based in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, focused on representing families in nursing home abuse and neglect lawsuits. We are hiring a full-time Paralegal Assistant to support our legal team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
This is a great role for someone who is highly detail-oriented, organized, responsive, and able to thrive under a heavy workload. The right person for this position enjoys research, keeps track of moving parts, communicates well with clients and professionals, and takes pride in making sure important tasks and deadlines do not fall through the cracks.
You do not need to have prior law firm experience to succeed here. We will train the right person. What matters most is that you are smart, coachable, dependable, and able to manage a high volume of work with accuracy and professionalism.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Supporting attorneys, paralegals, and tea
- Managing and tracking multiple deadlines, priorities, and moving pieces across active cases
- Conducting research and gathering information to support case development
- Assisting with client onboarding and helping new clients through the intake process
- Communicating with clients clearly, professionally, and compassionately
- Keeping clients informed proactively and responding to case status questions
- Saving, organizing, and filing digital documents according to firm systems and file naming conventions
- Managing case tasks and helping ensure deadlines are met
- Scheduling events involving lawyers, witnesses, clients, experts, court reporters, and other parties
- Managing lawyers’ calendars for case-specific deadlines and events
- Reviewing, organizing, and auditing medical records and other case documents
- Assisting with drafting and responding to discovery
- Communicating with courts, clerks’ offices, opposing counsel, clients, and related parties
- Handling other case-management and administrative tasks as needed

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in roles involving data management, client communication, and administrative support
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Experience managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and follow-up items
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Reliable high-speed internet
- Quiet, professional remote work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a law firm, medical office, insurance setting, or other detail-heavy environment
- Experience with research, records organization, or deadline-driven case or project support
- Experience working remotely with U.S.-based teams
Software / Technical Skills
- You should be comfortable using and learning cloud-based systems and digital tools, including:
- Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office

- Other paperless, cloud-based tools used in a remote law firm environment
Compensation and Growth
- Base pay starts at $6.00 per hour
- Discretionary performance bonuses based on both firm performance and personal performance measures
Advancement opportunities with increased pay and responsibilities are available to top performers after 12 months
Schedule
- Full-time, 6 AM to 3 PM EST
- Expected average of 40 hours per week
