Role Description
We are looking for a short-form video editor to help turn raw fitness, lifestyle, and talking-head footage into polished, on-brand content for Instagram and TikTok. This person’s main job is to reduce the founder’s editing workload, improve content consistency, and help turn one filming session into multiple usable pieces of content.
Roles and responsibilities
• Edit short-form vertical videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok
• Cut workout footage, talking-head clips, voiceovers, and b-roll into engaging content
• Add captions, text overlays, punch-ins, pacing improvements, and light effects where appropriate
• Follow the brand’s aesthetic and editing style consistently
• Create multiple cutdowns or alternate versions from the same source footage
• Organize raw footage and final assets in a clean folder structure for future use cases
• Export platform-ready files in the correct format and quality
• Turn simple creative direction into finished edits with minimal back-and-forth
• Potentially assist with a small number of adjacent asset types such as cover images, simple quote posts, or light carousel formatting if capable
What success looks like
• Raw footage gets turned into polished, publish-ready content quickly and consistently (3-5 posts/week)
• Content quality and consistency improve across platforms
• Recording sessions can reliably turn into several usable posts
• The editor begins to understand the brand well enough to make good editing choices without being micromanaged over time
What this role is not responsible for
• Being the face or voice of the brand
• Creating overall business strategy
• Writing sales copy or managing leads
