JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled Real Estate Appraisal VA to join a growing independent appraisal firm in Texas on a full-time, long-term basis. This role is ideal for an experienced appraisal VA who is ready to take full ownership of the report production process — bringing every assignment to a near-complete draft so the appraiser can focus on inspections, analysis, and business growth.

Both residential and commercial appraisal experience are valued here. The firm handles a mix of assignment types, and a VA who is comfortable across both will be an especially strong fit.

Your Responsibilities

- Work assignments from intake to near-complete draft using Total by À La Mode
- Pull comparable sales and apply sound judgment to comp selection
- Prepare residential appraisal forms including 1004, 1073, and other standard types
- Support commercial report production where assigned
- Maintain organized, complete workfile documentation
- Track all assignments, deadlines, and order statuses accurately
- Provide administrative support as the role develops
- Handle all data with strict confidentiality in line with USPAP requirements

What We're Looking For

- Direct, hands-on experience with Total by À La Mode — MUST
- A genuine understanding of the difference between pulling comps and selecting comps — MUST
- Prior experience as an appraisal VA working with a US-licensed appraiser — MUST
- Familiarity with USPAP confidentiality standards — MUST
- Ability to work US Central Time hours — MUST
- Excellent written and verbal English — MUST
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and consistent in executing workflows precisely — MUST
- Willingness to sign an NDA before starting — MUST

Preferred Skills

- Experience across both residential AND commercial appraisal assignments — strongly preferred
- Background supporting an independent or solo appraiser
- Familiarity with US MLS platforms
