Online Business Manager — "The Finisher"
(The Person Who Makes Sure It Actually Gets Done.)
This is not a VA role.
This is not a "just follow instructions" role.
This is not a project manager who makes Gantt charts nobody reads.
This is the person who catches ideas from a fast-moving founder and turns them into finished, working reality — every single day.
If you've ever worked with a creative, visionary founder and thought
"I LOVE this energy — just hand me the ball and I'll run it to the end zone"
1. The Short Version (If You're Skimming)
- SaaS company, already live, already paying customers (~40 clients)
- The founder moves fast, starts things, has 100 ideas a day — you LOVE that
- You take what he starts and FINISH it. Every time.
- You run daily operations: check on clients, update the scoreboard, keep things humming
- You don't wait for instructions — you find what needs doing and do it
- You communicate proactively — short updates, questions, progress
- You are trusted, not micromanaged
If someone else's energy and pace drains you, this will be exhausting.
If someone else's energy and pace FUELS you — because it means you always have something meaningful to finish — this is your dream role.
2. Why This Role Exists
I'm the founder. I'm great at starting things. I'm terrible at finishing them.
I have a lead developer (Karlo) who ships code daily — he thrives with my pace.
I have a salesperson (Trey) executing outreach.
What I'm missing: the person who takes my half-built projects, unfinished systems, and started-but-abandoned processes and pushes them across the finish line.
I don't need someone to slow me down. I don't need someone to "hold me accountable."
I need someone who gets EXCITED when I hand them something 60% done and say
"Can you take this from here?"
Because finishing things is what gives you life. It's your genius.
3. What You'll Actually Do
Daily Operations (~40%)
- Check client health dashboard — are videos processing, clips generating, content scheduling?
- Update the weekly scoreboard (KPIs, pipeline, revenue metrics)
- Monitor client communications — flag anything that needs attention
- Keep the CRM/pipeline current
- Be the first to know when something's off — because you're looking every day
Project Completion (~40%)
- Take Charlie's started-but-unfinished projects and drive them to DONE
- Push half-built campaigns, sequences, processes, and systems to completion
- Follow up on things that fell through the cracks
- Track what's in flight, what's stuck, what needs Charlie's input vs. what you can finish yourself
- Make sure nothing stays at 80% — your job is the last 20%
Communication & Coordination (~20%)
- Send daily updates without being asked
- Coordinate between Charlie, Karlo (dev), and Trey (sales)
- Communicate with clients when needed (written, async — not cold calls)
- Ask questions early when something is unclear
- Flag problems WITH solutions, not just problems
4. How You'll Work With Me (The Founder)
I'm highly creative. I move fast. I change direction. I start things.
I am:
- full of ideas (sometimes too many)
- fast-moving and high-energy
- not interested in micromanaging you
- sometimes vague ("Make this happen" without step-by-step)
- focused on what's NEXT, not what's current
What I need from you:
- You LOVE catching my ideas and running with them
- You don't need me to tell you what to do every morning — you already know
- You push things to done while I'm already on to the next thing
- You keep the scoreboard current so I can see reality at a glance
- You tell me "Done" more than you ask "What should I do?"
- When I hand you something half-finished, your reaction is "YES, I'll take it from here"
The Energy Test
Karlo (our lead developer) thrives working with me. He catches my vision fast, ships daily, and never waits for hand-holding. He gets ENERGY from the pace.
I need the operations version of Karlo.
If reading this makes you think "that sounds exhausting" — this isn't your role, and that's okay.
If reading this makes you think "that sounds like every day I've ever wanted" — we should talk.
5. What "Great" Looks Like
After a few months:
- The scoreboard is always current — I never have to ask "where are we?"
- Projects I start get finished — even the ones I forgot I started
- Clients are happy because someone is watching their account daily
- I focus on vision and sales because I trust you with everything else
- Nothing falls through the cracks — because you have a system for catching everything
- We talk about "what's next" and "what shipped" — not "what's stuck"
That's success.
6. The Type of Person Who Thrives Here
This role is for you if:
- You get ENERGY from finishing things — the last 10% is your favorite part
- You love working with creative, fast-moving people (not despite them — BECAUSE of them)
- You create checklists and systems without being asked
- You follow up on everything — nothing gets lost
- You communicate proactively — short updates, no 3-day silences
- You're comfortable talking to clients (written, async)
- You take initiative when something is unclear
- You treat the business like it's yours
- You'd rather finish 5 things than start 10
7. This Role Will Crush You If...
Be honest with yourself.
This is NOT for you if:
- You need step-by-step instructions for everything
- A fast-moving, idea-generating founder feels chaotic to you (not energizing)
- You wait for approval before acting
- You prefer starting projects to finishing them
- You go quiet when you're stuck
- Ambiguity makes you freeze
- You think "that's not my job" when something unexpected lands in your lap
- You need everything planned before anything gets done
8. Tools & Environment
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
- WhatsApp for daily communication
- Zoom for weekly syncs
- CRM / pipeline tools
- AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) — willingness to learn and use AI is expected
- Our SaaS dashboard (training provided)
- Scoreboard / KPI tracking
No coding required. Our developer handles all technical work.
9. Compensation
- $1,000-1,500 USD / month (based on experience)
- Full-time (40 hrs/week)
- Schedule: Overlap with 8am-5pm CST required
- Time tracking required
This is a growth role. As RWYS scales, this role scales with it.
10. How to Apply
Do not send a resume.
Write a letter (in Microsoft Word, named "finisher - YOUR_NAME") that answers these three questions:
1. Tell me about a time you worked with someone who moves fast and starts a lot of things. How did you handle it? Did you love it or just tolerate it?
2. Describe a specific project or task that someone else started but didn't finish — and you took it over and pushed it to completion. What was it? What made it hard? How did it feel to finish it?
3. What does your ideal daily routine look like in an operations role? Walk me through a typical morning-to-evening workday.
Email
Put "finisher" in the subject line.
If you're the person who makes sure it actually gets done —
who finishes what others start, who keeps the system humming,
and who gets ENERGIZED by a fast-moving founder —
this will feel like the role you've been looking for.
If you prefer working at your own pace with detailed instructions, that's okay. This role is not for most people.
