JOB OVERVIEW

We’re an academic consulting firm that helps high school students gain admission to top-tier universities in the U.S., and we’re currently seeking a part-time Essay Editor/Academic Writer with strong writing, editing, and critical thinking skills to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who can take rough or underdeveloped student essays and turn them into polished, well-structured pieces that read naturally and professionally. The position is part-time and flexible, but it’s also deadline-driven and requires strong reliability, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

This is not a general content writing role. We’re specifically looking for someone who can revise and rewrite essays so they are clearer, stronger, and more compelling while still aligning with the original prompt, intended message, and required word count.

Key Responsibilities:
• Edit and rewrite high school-level essays based on specific prompts and word count requirements, improving structure, clarity, grammar, tone, and overall impact.
• Manage multiple essay assignments at once while meeting tight turnaround times, typically within 24–48 hours, and communicate proactively regarding deadlines or issues that may affect delivery.

Applicants should be able to:
• Rewrite and strengthen weak or underdeveloped drafts without losing the original intent, while elevating flow, structure, readability, and overall quality.
• Demonstrate excellent grammar, sentence control, and word choice, and write with a level of polish that reads as fluent and natural in English.
