Role Summary
This role owns the movement of client opportunities from initial conversation through to signed engagement. The focus is on structuring proposals, maintaining pipeline
This is not an administrative role. This role requires independent thinking, strong judgment, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proposal Development
Translate rough notes and conversations into structured, client-ready proposals
Draft statements of work, scopes, and pricing based on defined frameworks
Ensure proposals are clear, compelling, and aligned to client needs
Maintain and evolve proposal templates and reusable content
2. Pipeline & Deal Management
Track all active leads and opportunities
Proactively follow up with prospects and clients
Identify stalled deals and take action to move them forward
Maintain a simple, effective CRM or tracking system
3. Client Coordination
Coordinate next steps with clients after initial conversations
Manage scheduling, materials, and communication flow
Ensure a high-quality, professional client experience
4. Founder Support (High-Leverage Only)
Prepare briefing notes for sales calls
Highlight risks, gaps, or opportunities in deals
Reduce reliance on the founder for day-to-day coordination
What Good Looks Like (90 Days)
All leads are tracked and visible at any time
Proposals go out within 48 hours of key conversations
No deals are “lost” due to lack of follow-up
Founder is no longer writing proposals from scratch
Ideal Profile
5–10+ years in consulting, agency, or professional services
Strong writing and structuring skills
Highly organized but also proactive and assertive
Comfortable working with senior executives
Able to operate with minimal direction
