We’re Hiring: Remote Contractual Short-Form Video Editor

Are you passionate about creating content that grabs attention, stops the scroll, and has real viral potential?

We’re looking for a creative, detail-driven Short-Form Video Editor to join our team in a contractual role, with strong room to grow. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands how to make engaging content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, while also wanting to grow with a team that values structure, quality, and long-term success.

We are not simply looking to hire an editor. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a creative system built for growth, consistency, and excellence.

You should live and breathe short-form content. If you understand pacing, hooks, storytelling, and current trends, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing
Editing scroll-stopping videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Using Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut to produce clean, engaging, high-retention edits
Adding custom animated captions, sound effects, transitions, and music
Using Matt Hannan’s content style and overall brand direction as a creative reference point, while still bringing your own editing instinct and ideas ----------
Communicating with the team and meeting deadlines consistently
Revising edits when needed to help us achieve the strongest possible final output

What We’re Looking For
A solid portfolio of short-form videos, ideally with viral performance or strong engagement
Expert skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut
Strong editing fundamentals, including:
• custom animated captions
• clean sound design and SFX
• tight pacing, with no long dead air or slow cuts
• thoughtful music choices that support the content
A creative eye that can follow brand direction without relying on copy-paste editing
Excellent communication in English
Responsive during JST business hours, which is 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Manila Time, on WhatsApp or Slack
Detail-oriented, organized, and open to feedback
Must include “Compass” in your application title

Compensation
Starting rate: $30 per completed reel
Editors will begin in a contractual editor role
For every THREE successful and outstanding completed reels, we will revisit the current rate and consider an increase based on quality, consistency, and overall performance
