Fashion Designer with Sewing and Garment Construction Experience along with Tech Packs + Graphics Creation
We’re looking for someone who actually understands how garments are made… not just how they look on a screen.
This role is for a fashion designer with strong graphic and technical skills who can take an idea and turn it into something production-ready.
Sewing experience along with experience working with fabrics, patterns, trims and designs will be helpful.
You’ll be working closely with our lead designer to develop designs, build tech packs, and help bring projects from concept ? finished product.
About Us – Ecclesiastical Sewing -
We are a U.S.-based company focused on creating high-quality church vestments from fine European liturgical textiles.
Everything we do is rooted in one idea:
Helping Churches Worship Beautifully
We design and produce:
Chasubles, pastor and priest stoles, dalmatics, copes
Altar frontals, pulpit falls, chalice veils, burses, and banners
Digital Embroidery designs, appliqués, and custom sacred artwork
We use Premium fabrics, trims, and full DIY sewing systems
Our work blends traditional design, historical accuracy, and real craftsmanship.
We are not a fast-fashion brand. We are not mass production.
We build church vestments that are meant to last, to be used in worship, and to carry meaning.
That means the design work needs to be precise, intentional, and buildable.
What you’ll be doing:
Creating flat sketches and technical illustrations using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, and other tools
Building clear, usable tech packs (measurements, materials, trims, construction notes)
Calculating fabric and trim yardage and noting all of the supply needs for projects
Assisting with design adjustments and scaling proportions accurately
English proficiency is a plus to be able to communicate with clients to develop their custom projects to move projects forward
What we’re looking for:
Strong experience with Adobe Suite (especially Illustrator)
Ability to create clean, professional tech packs (this is important)
Understanding of fabrics, trims, and garment construction and sewing
Experience with creating sewing patterns or working from sewing patterns
Good eye for proportion, layout, and detail
Solid written English and ability to communicate clearly
Big plus if you have:
Hands-on sewing or garment construction experience
Pattern drafting or pattern illustration skills
Experience writing technical instructions / documentation
Willingness to learn digital embroidery software
Catalog or flip book creation
Digital Embroidery Experience
Who this is for:
This is not a “make it look pretty” design role.
We’re looking for someone who can think through:
How is this a garment actually made?
What does production team need to create the garment
If you’ve ever worked on real garments, samples, or production… you’ll do well here.
This is NOT:
Strictly Graphic design work - you MUST have a background with sewing and garment construction
Details:
Remote (Philippines-based)
Part-time or full-time depending on fit
15 to 40 hours per week
Long-term role with room to grow
To apply:
Send:
Portfolio (technical work preferred — fashion design work, flats, tech packs, sewing pattern work, etc.)
Short intro about your experience with garment construction and sewing production
Include examples of tech packs, fashion illustrations, or sewing construction docs you’ve created
Any sewing experience you may have.
