JOB OVERVIEW

We are an Australian software consultancy (DB?Gurus) building cloud?based systems for government and enterprise clients. We are engaging an experienced AWS Architect on a contract basis to support our senior technical team on production systems.

What we need

You must:
Operate as an independent contractor
Have strong, hands?on AWS architecture experience
Be comfortable designing and reviewing:
VPCs, networking, and security
IAM and least?privilege access
EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS / DynamoDB
Design cost?aware, scalable AWS solutions
Review existing systems and recommend improvements
Communicate clearly in written English
Follow specifications and architectural standards
Be honest, reliable, and detail?oriented
Be available for overlap with Australian business hours

Highly regarded:
Serverless architectures
CI/CD pipelines
Infrastructure?as?Code (CloudFormation / Terraform)
Supporting development teams (not just producing diagrams)
