JOB OVERVIEW

Hey there,

We are a growing E-commerce company and we are looking for someone with extensive knowledge in video editing to create video “hooks” for us. If you have a great editing style, a good eye for engaging clips that match our script, and know you can make some really cool edits, we will be hiring a full-time video editor and they will be eligible for large bonuses and a great long-term career.

What are we looking for?
1. Able to work with minimal supervision
2. Reliable and have a great work ethic
3. Excellent at finding eye-catching / weird clips that “hook” the viewer

How will this job work?
1. We will send you scripts and a voiceover.
2. You will need to go online and find footage, from TikTok, Youtube, Facebook, etc
3. Put them all together with quick cuts to keep viewers engaged, and match the voice over with the captions and video. GET CREATIVE!

These videos are called “hooks” each between 3-10 seconds. They are used as the opening scene for a longer video. It’s very important to use eye-catching clips for the hook to stand out from the crowd and suck the viewer in. A lot of times these clips are very weird/bizarre and make you want to stop and find out what’s going on.
