About Us
We are looking for a full-time Automation Specialist for our YouTube channels:
-
-
We make documentary-style videos that explain complex stories in a clear and engaging way. Behind every video is a sophisticated, partially automated production pipeline, and we're looking for someone to own, maintain, and scale it.
About the Role
You will be the technical owner of our automation infrastructure. We run a self-hosted OpenClaw instance (open-source AI agent framework) alongside a self-hosted n8n instance that powers our production workflows. Our Notion workspace serves as the central hub for the entire team, covering project management, status tracking, and automation triggers.
Your job is to deeply understand our existing systems, keep them reliable, and work with the team to expand what they can do.
What You'll Do
• Own and maintain our OpenClaw agent infrastructure and n8n workflows, keeping everything running reliably, debugging failures, and documenting what's in place
• Own our Notion infrastructure, maintaining and improving the structure of our Notion workspace, databases, views, and templates so it stays clean, consistent, and usable as the team grows
• Collaborate with the production team to identify new automation opportunities across the pipeline: research, scripting, asset management, editing handoffs, publishing, and reporting
• Build Notion-triggered automation systems, where a status change or button click in Notion fires off a chain of background automations
• Optimize existing automations for efficiency and cost by reviewing current workflows to reduce unnecessary API calls, LLM usage, and compute costs while maintaining performance
• Improve system reliability and scalability over time through better error handling, fallback logic, monitoring, and documentation
• Explore AI-assisted automation by extending our existing LLM-powered workflows with new capabilities such as research assistance, script support, and performance reporting
Our Stack
• Automation: n8n (self-hosted), OpenClaw (self-hosted AI agent framework)
• Project management: Notion (extensive workflow, partially automated)
• Communication & storage: Slack, Google Docs, Dropbox
• APIs in use: YouTube API, Notion API, Google Workspace, Dropbox,
• Production tools (used by the creative team): Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Blender
Required Skills
• Proficiency in n8n, including building, debugging, and maintaining complex multi-step workflows
• Experience with OpenClaw or similar open-source AI agent frameworks
• Comfortable working with APIs (REST, webhooks, OAuth, environment variables)
• Experience integrating LLMs into real production pipelines
• Solid Linux server administration basics (cron, systemd, logs, SSH)
• Strong troubleshooting mindset, able to diagnose and fix broken automations independently
Preferred Skills
• Experience with browser automation such as scraping dashboards or web interfaces without APIs
• Familiarity with Notion API and database automation
• Experience with Slack bot integrations and workflow notifications
• Knowledge of Google Workspace APIs (Docs, Drive, Sheets, YouTube Analytics)
• Experience managing multi-agent AI systems with scheduling and memory
• Background in video or media production environments is a plus
Working Hours
This is a remote role. You must be available for a minimum of 6 hours overlap with Cyprus business hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EEST (UTC+3). Suitable timezones include most of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and parts of South/Southeast Asia.
Compensation
$1,200 USD/month, paid monthly via Wise.
